Each year public libraries throughout the world join together to submit titles for consideration in the prestigious International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award, one of the world's richest literary prizes with a €100,000 prize (AUD $142,000).
Victorians have done well in the past with Rocks in the Belly by Jon Bauer making the top 10 short-list in 2012 and Question of Travel by Michelle de Kretser shortlisted in the top 10 titles for the 2014 awards.
State Library Victoria invites you to help select Victoria’s titles, from the list below, to be submitted in the 2018 International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award. We do hope you would like to be involved.
To vote, please select your preferred title here by COB Friday 7 April 2017. Choice should be based solely on the literary merit of the work. Please vote only once.
State Library Victoria will put forward the top three titles from the list of titles nominated by Australian publishers below.
The award is organised by Dublin City Public Libraries on behalf of Dublin City Council, and is sponsored by IMPAC, an international management productivity company.
