The aim of this SIG is to raise the profile of Home Library Services within public libraries by promoting a forum for discussion on issues relating to Home Library Services; and identifying needs in the provision of Home Library Services to maximise social inclusion and reader experience.

The Local studies group acts as a forum in which to discuss issues relating to providing local studies services to members of the public, to promote an awareness of local studies through Victorian public libraries and to support statewide initiatives in local history.
